MultiCam Receives UL Certification
MultiCam Inc. has recently been certified by Underwriters Laboratories to apply the UL sticker to all of its electrical
enclosures and controls. This will allow United States-based customers to be in compliance with all electrical
requirements set forth by governmental or regional electric standards. With electrical equipment that is identified
with the UL 508 sticker, customers do not need to hire inspectors before running the properly installed machine.
MultiCam control panels are also in full compliance with the NEC and ANSI/NFPA 70 nationally and with CE/IEC
internationally.

New Digital Express High Speed Cutting System
MultiCam is pleased to announce the new Digital Express high speed digital registration, routing and knife
cutting system. Companies looking for a versatile, affordable platform that can register, route and knife cut at
high speed will appreciate the affordable price point of the Digital Express.
The Digital Express is available in a range of table sizes from 60” X 60” to 80” X 120” with a high flow vacuum
table standard. Router options are available from 2.7 HP to 5.5 HP with spindle speeds up to 50,000 RPM.
Up to three knife cutting heads can be configured with quick change cartridge options which include high
frequency oscillating, drag knife, kiss cutting, rotary knife and creasing wheel. Digital Express features also
include an all steel, stress relieved, precision machined base frame with 25mm linear bearings in the X and Y
axes. All axes are driven by brushless digital AC servo motors with maximum rapid traverse speeds of 3,400
IPM (86.0 M/min).
The MultiVision digital registration system is standard on all Digital Express machines. MultiVision is a digital
camera/software based system that can visually recognize media registration marks and automatically
compensate for skew, distortion and image drift. New high-speed fiducial capture software significantly reduces
the time required to read registration marks and improves finished product throughput.

MultiVision is Now Faster, Easier, and More Accurate
MultiCam’s MultiVision system has been redesigned to improve the overall work flow in digital finishing applications.
The new innovations make digital finishing more user-friendly and provide an overall cost advantage by
reducing production times.
New features include:
- High-speed fiducial registration capture; New algorithms combined with on-the-fly error calculation reduces
total processing time up to 33% allowing for significantly increased machine throughput.
- Advanced correction algorithms - Overall digital work flow is improved by reducing processing time and
improving the accuracy of the cutting process.
- New cut-file verification software - MultiVision now provides an easy-to-use tool for verifying and adjusting the
accuracy of the cut file to the actual graphic print. More accuracy from the printing to the cutting process
means less error and less waste leading to more production.
? Flip-N-Cut – This new feature allows for printing on one side of a substrate and then cutting out the graphic
from the opposite side of the substrate. Flip-N-Cut is perfect for cutting and miter-folding corrugated material.
