Fluid Color today announced the RF105, a 5′ x 10′ flatbed printer engineered to transform braille and tactile production. Known as the “Braille Monster,” the RF105 combines speed, precision, and full-color capability to produce ADA-compliant signage faster than ever—without sacrificing visual impact.
Configurable for both the RF105 and RF84 platforms, this system features a specialized print head configuration developed by Fluid Color engineers to optimize braille dot formation and stacking. The RF105 precisely builds braille to compliance within a rapid production window while simultaneously printing high-quality, full-color graphics and applying a color cap in the same workflow.
Enhanced by ImageprintUV software from John Panazzo of Colorbyte, users can achieve advanced control and automation over braille output and layering. At the same time, the RF105’s robust engineering allows operators to produce compliant braille and tactile output natively—giving customers the flexibility to choose the workflow that best fits their operation.
The result is a powerful, streamlined process: a complete 4′ x 8′ sheet of braille signage, including tactile elements and vibrant graphics, can be produced in as little as 30 minutes. This eliminates the need for secondary processes, reducing labor, handling, and turnaround time.
“Our engineering focus was on delivering both speed and flexibility,” said Allen Dunn / President. “The RF105 doesn’t just print braille quickly—it builds compliant, readable dots while layering rich, full-color imagery in a single pass. Whether leveraging advanced software tools or running natively, our customers have complete control over how they produce.”
With ongoing enhancements to its print head configuration and workflow efficiency, the RF105 continues to evolve—ensuring customers stay at the forefront of braille and tactile production technology.
