Launched in April 2015, the Mimaki Print with Compassion program is a series of educational sessions and hands-on training using Mimaki products that produce real-world objects and materials for use by local communities and organizations throughout the U.S.
At the annual Specialty Graphic and Imaging Association (SGIA) annual convention scheduled for November 4-6, 2015 in Atlanta, Mimaki will carry on the tradition of providing for a local charity through the Print with Compassion Program. At this show, Mimaki has arranged with industry suppliers to wrap a vehicle for the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, which provides vision and hearing services through education, detection, prevention and treatment. Through collaborative partnerships, the foundation enables greater independence and increased quality of life for Georgians in financial need.
Visitors to SGIA can see the vehicle being wrapped live, in the Sidewalk Café area. Details of the wrap include:
• Mimaki printer: JV300-160 model using SS21 eco-solvent ink
• Print media sponsor: 3M Commercial Graphics
• Vehicle graphics design: WBC Graphics, Orlando
• Vehicle graphics installer: Miller Decals, 3M Certified & PDAA Master Certified
• Vehicle type: 2010 Ford Transit Connect
SGIA attendees are also welcome to stop by the Mimaki booth 3145 to see the latest technologies offering boundless capabilities.
