Light boxes are a popular display holder for both fabric and rigid substrates. The first part of this series discussed characteristics to consider when it comes to light boxes, such as substrate used, lighting preference, and frame composition. Here, vendors discuss their newest or most popular light boxes.
Bowman Displays
Bowman Displays offers its LED Elliptical Lightup Display, referring to the product as its thinnest profile light-up display ever. Single sided, it features an anodized aluminum finish with an easy front loading snap frame. It is available in widths of up to 60 inches.
For fabric, Fabric Soft LED is a wraparound backlit display. At two inches deep it features edge ribbon LEDs with an anodized silver finish body. It is also available in widths up to 60 inches.
Cheelo Graphics
Fabric LED Light Boxes are illuminated by LED lights with back or edge lit technology. Products in this portfolio can accommodate one- or two-sided graphics that can be wall mounted, suspended from a ceiling, or used as a free-standing displays. A variety of frame dimensions and thicknesses are available.
Direct LED Frames
Frames made up of aluminum for silicone edge graphics—frontlit or LED backlit—are available from the company in custom sizes. The frames are available in both single- and double-sided options.
DSA Phototech
DSA’s Frameless Fabric Light Box is available in sizes up to 72×120 inches with standard edge lighting and up to 120×204 inches with optional LED backlit strips in one- and two-sided designs. The frame is constructed with extruded aluminum.
Expand International
The InfinitaSystem backlit fabric exhibit display is equipped with LED lights placed on the top and bottom of the overall graphic. No profiles are visible, the graphic is attached to the aluminum structure with silicone edges. Easy set up with an Allen key, the InfinitaSystem is available in different sizes and can be ordered as both single and double sided.
MDI Worldwide
MDI’s PosterGrip Edge-Lit LED Light Panel is 24×30 inches with a depth of .875 inches. It is available in a gloss black finish or satin silver and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Front loading access makes it easy to switch out graphics.
North America Display Corporation
The Igniter Light Box series is available in custom and stock sizes ranging up to 20×8 feet. Unique to the Igniter Light Box series are reinforced corner brackets specifically designed to maintain the structural integrity of the frame. These brackets are installed with a special thumb nut assembly.
Orbus Exhibit & Display Group
The Vector Frame light box is one of Orbus’ most popular products. It features a durable four-inch aluminum extrusion frame, push-fit backlit fabric graphics, and LED top and bottom lighting. LED lights are attached to the frame, allowing for a simple assembly, applying the push-fit graphics and plugging in the electrical cord. Available dimensions for Vector Frame include four standard square sizes ranging 35×35 to 94×94 inches and five standard rectangular sizes ranging 35×37 to 118×94 inches. Custom sizes are also available.
Rose Displays
EvenGlow LED light boxes are edge lit and available as either one- or two-sided configurations. The one-sided model uses a Springless Snap Rail, patented from Rose Displays, to make graphic change outs easy. Surface mounted, recessed, or side-by-side mounting options provide a number of display choices. Frames are available in clear or black anodized and range from 8×8 to 48×96 inches with a depth of .891 inches.
The two-sided option is equipped with SmoothSlide top or side loading for changing graphics. A Thinvisible Conductive Hanging System allows for hanging signage without power cords showing. Available in silver or black anodized in 8×8 to 48×48 inches, its depth is 1.15 inches.
Stylmark
The Optima 1000 LED Backlit Light Box features a snap frame for a tool-free open and close system. It is available four standard sizes with custom options available by request. The frame’s finish is a satin natural anodize.
For soft signage, Stylmark offers the Optima LED StretchLite fabric light box portfolio. The series includes edge lit, backlit, and perimeter lit lighting options. Two new double-sided frame offerings are the DS5 and DS8. The DS 5 features a depth of five inches and is lit by perimeter LED modules for light box displays up to 6×30 feet. For 10×30 feet, the DS8 is lit by dual rows of perimeter LED modules with a depth of eight inches.
SwingFrame
Lightbox frames from SwingFrame are available in metal and wood finishes in a number of sizes and depths. They swing or snap open and be backlit or edge lit. For example, its Wide Wood SwingFrame LED lightbox features an overall depth of two inches and is equipped with low-maintenance, super bright white LEDs. Seven wood finishes are available—mahogany, honey pecan, natural clear, rich walnut, black, cherry, and white. Frame orientation is portrait or landscape and custom sizes are available up to 48×96 inches.
Tex Visions
The Snap Frame LED Lightbox from Tex Visions is a slim wall display with LED lights available in several sizes and in portrait or landscape format. For fabric, the Q-Frame Tex120 Lightbox system is equipped with aluminum profiles with a depth of five inches. A customizable display, graphics are constructed with keder on the edges to easily pop into the frames.
Unique Displays
Differing in frame composition, lighting direction, or material choice, there are many options when it comes to light boxes. These displays are popular for digitally printed graphics. With a sophisticated finish, a light box cost-effectively complements a high-quality image.
