SmartSoft will be demonstrating the latest enhancements to PressWise, the all-in-one Print MIS and Workflow Automation solution, at this week’s Dscoop show in San Antonio, Texas. The HP-sponsored event for print service providers runs from April 14th to 16th, with keynote speakers including the Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary and former NFL Head Coach Herm Edwards. PressWise by SmartSoft will be situated in Booth 225.
PressWise offers a single SaaS-based MIS and print workflow platform designed to manage a growing digital print business. The end-to-end system includes unlimited Web-to-print Storefronts, Print Estimating, Order Management, Production Automation, Shipping and Fulfillment, and Mail Processing. PressWise was designed as an alternative to purchasing or developing separate programs for Web Storefronts, Print Workflow Management, Print MIS and Direct Mail processing software.
New features to be shown at the show include:
– The recently released Multiship feature, which now makes it easy to assign multiple shipping destinations within a single order, using an innovative ‘drag ‘n’ drop’ functionality. Separate jobs within an order can be assigned to different shipments, and the weight for each shipment is auto-calculated for accurate pricing.
– The new Kitting functionality in PressWise. Jobs that contain multiple components that go together to form a single product can now be converted into kits within PressWise for simplified quoting and invoicing. Examples of kits may be something as simple as a booklet that is made up of different cover and text stocks, to something more complex such as a business presentation pack containing a folder, business card, introduction letter and 30 minutes of typesetting time.
– A new PressWise to QuickBooks connector, designed to make it easy to export your financial transactions from PressWise to the popular accounting software. This new tool gives the user visibility and control over the invoice and payment data that is exported into QuickBooks, automating the transfer of that data.
“We’re very excited to show the progress of the PressWise service in person to the Dscoop community” said Joe Lehn, Director of Product Management for PressWise. “This year looks set to be another record-breaking year in terms of attendance for the Dscoop show, and the enthusiasm and vision of the organization and its membership is very clear. Besides the many customers who are also Dscoop members, we are fortunate to have a number of PressWise customers on the board of Dscoop itself.
“As PressWise customers, they recognized the critical need to change their workflows to meet growing customer demands for shorter-run jobs and faster turnarounds. Our commitment to lean printing means fewer manual touches, faster turnarounds and a more efficient print operation that can compete more effectively, and profitably, in an increasingly competitive market.”
