As customer demand for more sustainable business practices and products continues to grow, manufacturing companies must rise to the occasion and meet these needs. In the graphics industry, 3M leads this charge by continually pursuing the creation of high-quality, eco-friendlier products. Thanks to this commitment, graphics installers can now enjoy the performance features valued in 3M™ Controltac™ Print Film 40C, in a non-PVC version. Enter 3M™ Envision™ Print Film 48C, the newest innovation from 3M that combines versatility and greener materials to create a powerhouse intermediate non-PVC film that can be applied to windows, walls, floors*, signs, partial vehicle graphics and more.
3M Envision Print Film 48C is the latest step forward in high-performance intermediate films, offering amazing print quality, simple curve conformability, ease of use and consistency. This new line also includes companion non-PVC intermediate overlaminates: 3M Envision™ Gloss Overlaminate 8048G and 3M Envision Matte Overlaminate 8050M.
“3M is excited to announce the launch of Envision Print Film 48C, the first non-PVC film of its kind,” said Holly Coleman, marketing manager, 3M Commercial Solutions Division. “3M is committed to supporting graphics manufacturers as they aim to meet the growing sustainability goals of their customers. One way we can do this is by developing more sustainable, affordable materials that hit the mark on performance.”
Film 48C is engineered to create a hassle-free installation and removal process; it’s the only intermediate non-PVC film on the market with 3M™ Controltac™ Technology for slide, tack and snap-up, and 3M™ Comply™ Adhesive for air release. It’s inherently more tear-resistant thanks to its high tensile strength, and Film 48C enables fast, clean and bubble-free removal, even in cold temperatures.
Film 48C is also 100 percent printer compatible, designed for solvent, UV and latex inkjet printing and UV screen printing. 3M’s new film series offers up to five-year indoor and outdoor expected performance life** (three months for floors). Graphic manufacturers now have a versatile, more sustainable solution at an affordable price that doesn’t sacrifice performance.
