When it comes to pressure-sensitive materials, particularly vinyl and film, a lot of products are available in the wide format space. Here, vendors in the space share some of their newest pressure-sensitive vinyl and film products.
3M Commercial Solutions’ new 3M Controltac Print Film 40C-114R eliminates the need for a graphics shop to stock multiple clear films. This film is designed to enhance graphics with unprinted areas, colorful gradient designs, and graphic knockouts such as standalone logos. Along with the opaque 3M Controltac Print Film 40C, the clear Film 40C-114R offers advanced slideability, tack, and snap up for easier installation, and has up to a seven year indoor and outdoor expected performance life.
Agfa Graphics’ Duratex Canvas Wall Wrap is a 6-mil matte white embossed canvas wall vinyl with clear, removable, repositionable adhesive. It’s ideal for wall murals, decals, and graphics to most types of smooth painted interior walls. This product hides wall imperfections and reduces glare and light hot spots. It’s been tested on dry wall, glass, metal, wood paneling, and display board. It’s very cost effective and fire rated. Duratex inkjet media is designed for UV-curable, eco-solvent, solvent, and latex wide and grand format inkjet printing systems and is available in a variety of widths and roll lengths.
All Graphic Supplies Rite-Media has a fast growing range of products. Its GB vinyl and RM-Multi Purpose vinyl with Air Free technology together with the appropriate laminates are fast-selling self-adhesive vinyls.
Arlon recently launched a new Cast Digital Wrap Film, DPF 6100XLP. This product features a smooth finish and low-profile air egress liner making it a great solution for commercial vehicle wrap needs. The most notable feature of DPF 6100XLP is its superior bond in channels and compound curves. DPF 6100XLP’s low initial tack makes it highly repositionable. Along with these features, its compatibility to various print systems include latex, solvent, eco-solvent, and UV printers. This film is ideal for full vehicle wraps, fleet wraps, and various other applications.
WindowClear Aslan DFP 18 is the newest transparent digital printing film by Aslan. It is for the design of glass surfaces, particularly when a high transparency is desired. The application of the flexible, polymeric PVC film is especially easy and forgiving—even on curved surfaces. As an added bonus, working with the transparent film saves a significant amount of time, since images do not have to be cropped, plotted, and weeded. It is printable with all solvent, eco-solvent, latex, and UV-curable inks.
ATP Adhesive Systems offers a full line of pressure-sensitive self-adhesive vinyl, mounting films, and laminates. Unique to the line is the Open Air, micro-perforated vinyl with repositionable adhesive. Also new to the line is the GL-515 textured polypropylene laminate for floor graphics, as well as roll ups and pop ups. GL-515 is ASTM D-2047 certified, economical, dimensionally stable, and PVC free.
Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions’ MPI 1105 is an ultra-conformable supercast film that merges premium PVC facestock with a long-term removable adhesive. The film’s print technology is optimized for all leading printing platforms—latex, UV, eco-solvent, and solvent. MPI 1105 is available with Easy Apply RS, Easy Apply, and Gloss Opaque LTR technologies to provide quick and easy application and long-term removability. Easy Apply air egress technology helps eliminate wrinkles and bubbles while Easy Apply RS provides repositionability and slideability, allowing the film to be moved easily before pressure is applied.
Continental Grafix offers Walk&Wall textured vinyl with fabric backing and repositionable adhesive. It sticks to any surface and is cleanly removable up to 90 days. Walk&Wall is ASTM wet slip C-1028, dry slip D-2047, as well as E-84 fire certified. It is ideal for trade show, retail point of purchase (POP), and wall murals and can be applied to concrete, carpet, tile, metal, plastic, doors, and painted walls. Continental Grafix also offers pressure-sensitive perforated vinyl in 80/20, 70/30, 60/40, and 50/50 hole patterns, as well as inside-mount panoFilm/panoTape combination, perforated polyester and one-inch wide optically clear tape.
Coveris Advanced Coatings’ Ritetac HI is a 7.5-mil dry erase film with permanent adhesive. Ritetac LO is a 7.5-mil dry erase film with removable and repositionable adhesive. Both can be printed on with UV-curable printers. Ritetac HI and LO are ideal for calendars, schedules, brainstorming, sport/game strategy boards, menus, to do lists, resurfacing chalkboards, walls, and tabletops in environments such as retail, hospitality, offices, hospitals, and academia. Ritetac HI and LO feature a uniform, low-gloss surface, which reduces glare and improves legibility. This dry erase film does not kink easily and no ghosting is left behind after the dry erase marker is erased.
D&K’s Pressure Sensitive Textured Vinyl is suitable for a variety of applications including floor graphics, countertop graphics, and point of sale/display graphics. The 6-mil textured surface meets slip resistance requirements and provides a 3D finish that helps protect graphics while enhancing the finished look. This film also features a slight blue tint that helps neutralize color shift caused by sunlight or overhead light sources.
DAF Products’ DAF Speed Vinyl is a one-step solution for short-term floor and wall graphics with no need for overlamination or extra protection. It offers a 10-mil pebble-embossed white print vinyl with polyester reinforcement and a high-tack removable adhesive. Product is intended for shorter term floor graphic applications for both indoors and outdoors.
Drytac SpotOn is a 4-mil printable PVC film with a dot patterned removable adhesive that ensures graphics can be installed with minimal effort and removed with ease. An excellent cling alternative, SpotOn allows for easy, bubble-free application of vibrant graphics to a range of substrates without the need for tools or wet installation. Available in clear matte frosted, clear gloss, white matte, and white gloss finishes, this film is ideal for short-term indoor graphic applications, including those for windows, walls, trade shows, and retail stores. SpotOn is compatible with eco-solvent, solvent, UV, and latex printers.
FLEXcon’s FLEXmark Promotional Advertising Films CP, CR, WP, and WR are engineered for a multitude of promotional applications including walls, windows, floors, signage, and counters. They are printable via UV and solvent inkjet, UV and solvent screen, UV offset, and HP Latex.
FloorSignage, LLC’s foil-based print media is available in two finishes. AlumiGraphics Grip is white, reflective, and slip resistant for exterior walkways. AlumiGraphics Smooth is white and satin for rough or smooth rigid walls. Users can print directly to the surface and use no overlaminate. Environmentally friendly, it is ideal for advertising promotions, wayfinding, and sponsorships.
General Formulations has an extensive selection of 6-mil semi-rigid materials in its Concept Digital Media portfolio. These films are ideal for applying to larger substrates because of their ease in handling, and also for smaller decals, which can be weeded quickly. General Formulations semi-rigid products include white and clear printable films for solvent, latex, and UV-curable ink systems and are available in permanent and removable adhesives.
Grafityp Selfadhesive Products offers a new PVC-free print film, GEF-ES. This polyolefin film comes with a Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort certificate and already meets the upcoming stricter European regulations for volatile organic compound emissions indoors.
HP Premium Removable Gloss Adhesive Vinyl is a polymeric vinyl with air egress for easy install. A gray back features hiding power.
Kapco KJ6CANVASLAM – PSA 6 mil Canvas Embossed Vinyl Laminate simulates the texture of canvas while providing protection. It is ideal for applications needing a canvas or unique look. Use for POP, exhibit booths at trade shows, roll-up banner stands, retail countertop, or mouse pad advertising. A special embossed surface helps reflect light. SOL/6CANVASPVC Canvas Textured White Vinyl also simulates the texture of canvas. It can be used for interior and exterior signage. Uses include outdoor signage, promotional, POP graphics, and trade show displays.
Kernow Coatings offers KernowPrint 130SSRP, a unique repositionable wall and window graphic film, designed for smooth, flat surfaces. It combines two technologies, a repositionable low-tack adhesive and embedded microspheres. This ensures perfect edges to graphics, even those with full ink coverage, yet the benefits of microspheres allow air to flow out on application by untrained staff in a retail environment.
Kodak distributes PhotoTex, a removable, repositionable, and reusable adhesive fabric offering easy install.
LexJet Simple Grip Backlit Film is a one-step facemount window graphic solution. It offers double-side viewable day/night vibrancy. Lights illuminate it even more and its micro-suction adhesive makes for an easy install.
Mac Papers’ popular products include varieties of vinyl wraps, for use on buildings and cars. Some of the hottest products it is selling now are those that feature a metallic or patterned finish.
Mactac Distributor Products’ IMAGin ROODLE RO628 is a 6-mil, robust removable semi-rigid PVC film that enables printing of borderless vinyl wall graphics and eliminates the need for a laminate. This media features a removable adhesive ideal for wall murals, indoor and outdoor signage, posters, POP displays, removable decals, and graphics and is designed for removable graphics printed to the edge. IMAGin ROODLE RO628 has an outdoor durability of up to three years and can be removed from most surfaces up to two years after application.

Qué Media, Inc. developed several pressure-sensitive medias over the last two decades. Some of the newest products are mounting adhesives. One side of the media is permanent adhesive followed by a carrier liner with a removable adhesive or ultra-removable adhesive on the other side. These new mounting adhesives can be combined with most of the company’s product line to offer a variety of applications.
Ritrama Crystal Cling 4 is an optically clear 4-mil polyester film, which is print treated for use with UV and conventional inks and is designed with a unique polymer technology that allows the film to cling to glass and other smooth surfaces. The result is a very soft peel from glass that mimics static cling performance.
