Foster–a major supplier of cutting devices and other postpress equipment for more than 65 years–has announced a partnership with CET Color, a manufacturer of wide-format UV flatbed and hybrid printers and flatbed cutters.
Effective immediately, Foster On-a-Roll lifters, a Foster Keencut SteelTraK vertical cutter, and a bench-mounted Foster Keencut
Evolution-E2 cutter will be available for demonstration in the CET Color showroom in Atlanta, Georgia. CET Color customers, when considering or purchasing a CET Color printer, can determine the precise media lifter and cutting tools that will maximize the efficiency of their printer.
Announcing the new partnership, Foster CEO Ted Borowsky said: “Media rolls, particularly those carrying fabric and film, are getting bigger and heavier as mills and printers look to minimize shipping costs and inventory. These larger rolls can be dangerous for operators and warehouse personnel to handle. Foster On-a-Roll lifters enable a single wide-format press operator to safely manipulate media rolls in shops with limited floor space and to single-handedly position fresh rolls for quick and easy mounting in the printer.” Discussing the Foster Keencut tools being shown by CET Color, Borowsky added: “In addition to the lifters available in the CET Color showroom, Foster offers a complete line of cutters, trimmers and other accessories that make printers more efficient.”
Javier Mahmoud, CET Color Vice President of Sales and Marketing, also
commented: “CET Color is pleased to partner with Foster products, which enhance the operation of our printers. We are particularly excited about the Foster lifter product line, which simplifies roll handling on our hybrid printers and enables a single operator to quickly and efficiently load and change media rolls. Several CET Color dealers are also Foster dealers, making a complete print production package easy to implement.”
CET Color offers a complete line of wide format UV printers, as well as a recently introduced flatbed cutter, for use on a broad range of substrates. Their 80,000 square-foot facility, located in Atlanta, Georgia, includes an extensive warehouse and printer assembly hall, in addition to a large demonstration center.
