Advanced Color Solutions offers Roland DGA Corporation’s full line of equipment, from 20-inch desktop solutions up to 64-inch wide and production speeds of more than 35 square feet per hour (sf/h) and 30- and 54-inch widths for UV ink running white, clear, or performing dimensional—3D raised lettering and graphics—printing and cutting.
HP Inc. Latex 315 Print and Cut Solution is a 54-inch device. While it does not print and cut in one solution it is designed for a variety of applications including full-bleed stickers that don’t shrink or curl. It also allows for an optimized workflow management from a single point. It includes software with barcode integration.
Among its range of offerings, Mimaki USA, Inc. offers the UCJV300 Series UV LED printer/cutters. The devices are designed to deliver an array of applications that dry instantly, making it possible to laminate and/or cut immediately after printing for the highest efficiency in workflow. Unique, multi-layer printing produces innovative graphics for backlit applications while advanced printing techniques and precision cutting capabilities enable delivery of complete campaigns that include signs, posters, banners, labels, and decals. The Mimaki UCJV300 Series features a drop on demand piezoelectric printhead, resolutions of up to 1,200 dpi, and maximum print speeds of up to 277.7 sf/h.
Roland presents a variety of print/cut solutions, including the TrueVIS SG series printer/cutters, TrueVIS VG series printer/cutters, VersaUV LEC series UV printer/cutters, and SOLJET Pro 4 XR-640 printer/cutter. The TrueVIS SG series printer/cutters feature a maximum print width of 30 and 54 inches, a maximum cut thickness of 39 mil, and maximum print and cut speeds of 101.2 sf/h and .4 to 11.8 inches per second (in/s), respectively. It features a CMYK ink set and a cutting force of 30 to 500 gf. The TrueVIS VG series printer/cutters feature a maximum print width of 54 and 64 inches and a maximum cut thickness of 39 mil. The series features print speeds of up to 375 sf/h and cutting speeds from 0.4 to 11.8 in/s. The ink set includes CMYKLcLmLk+white. The cutting blade force is 30 to 500 gf. The VersaUV LEC series UV printer/cutters offer a print width of 30 and 54 inches as well as a cut thickness of up to 39 mil. Its maximum print speed is 528 sf/h and cutting speeds up to 11.8 in/s. Users choose seven or eight colors in a range of configurations including, CMYKLcLm+Lk, CMYKLcLm+LK+white, CMYKLcLm+Lk+metallic, or CMYKLcLm+white+metallic. The cutting blade force is 30 to 300 gf.
Summa America offers the S Class 2 Series of tangential and drag knife cutters, this includes the D and T Series. Both of which reach cut speeds of 56 in/s and are available in media widths from 29 to 62 inches. The D Series is a equipped with a drag knife cutting head, whereas the T Series is outfitted with a tangential cutter head. Also available is the S2 T160 with OPOS CAM. A 64-inch device that reaches speeds of up to 56 in/s, it offers true tangential cutting with increased registration mark recognition.
Print and Finish
Applications like stickers, decals, and labels add revenue with limited investment. Integrated printer/cutters as well as print-and-cut solutions are both options for creating these types of applications.
