Aleyant, an innovative leader in providing robust software services to the graphic communications industry, and SmartSoft, Inc., a provider of cloud-based workflow and MIS solutions for commercial printers, today announced that as part of the ongoing expansion of Pressero, the companies are offering a seamless, bidirectional pricing integration between the Pressero web-to-print solution and Presswise, a PDF workflow automation and print MIS solution. The integration, which has been tested by Alliance Franchise Brands’ Print & Marketing Division, allows Pressero to query the Presswise pricing database when an estimate is being requested or an order is being placed to ensure real-time, accurate pricing from a single database source.
“Our integration with the Pressero storefront has been the tightest integration we have had in place, even before this latest enhancement,” said Joseph Lehn, Director of Product Management at SmartSoft, Inc. “When Aleyant built the initial integration, they included our nomenclature, so it made it much easier to integrate than your typical third-party storefront. The new pricing integration is a natural evolution of what our mutual customers were looking for. No one has time to do their day job these days, much less build something new. So we worked together with Aleyant to do it for them. One of the biggest headaches any printer with a storefront has is how to deal with pricing in two different systems with two different sets of logic. This integration solves that problem for them.”
When an order or inquiry is being placed, Pressero can now reach out to Presswise to determine what products are available and allow the user to select the product and choose available options. Presswise then does the appropriate calculations based on its pricing database and sends the information back. It delivers the exact same values as if the order was entered directly into Presswise, eliminating the need to enter pricing twice or have a pricing conflict.
“This integration was delivered, in part, as a response to one of our mutual customers, the Print & Marketing Division of Allied Franchise Brands,” said Trent Foreman, Director of Product Development for Aleyant. “Both companies have worked closely with them in their ongoing development of WorkStream platform, a centerpiece of the franchisor’s long-term vision for growth that now has integrations between Pressero and all of the major MIS systems they use.”

The pricing integration is immediately available to customers operating with Pressero and Presswise systems.
