April 20 to 23, 2016, join the International Sign Association (ISA) for its annual ISA Sign Expo. This year, the show is held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. As of mid-February, space on the trade show floor was sold out—promising an expo full of opportunity.

ISA Exhibitors
3A Composites USA, booth 1217, showcases Gatorfoam—the original heavy-duty graphic display board. Gatorfoam consists of polystyrene foam bonded between two layers of wood-fiber veneer laminate. This unique construction makes Gatorfoam rigid yet lightweight and warp resistant; its surface is smooth and strong, offering superior dent- and scratch-resistance.
3M Commercial Solutions, booth 1700, highlights 3M Envision Flexible Substrate FS-1, which allows manufacturers to build signs that use less energy and require less maintenance, and also gives graphics manufacturers increased design versatility, with options to decorate with cut vinyl or direct print with solvent, UV, or latex inks. The seamless, widewidth flexible substrate is backed by 3M MCS Warranty, and can be combined with other LED-enabling products in the 3M Envision line of products for illuminated signs.
Advanced Greig Laminators (AGL), booth 1913, exhibits its Patriot laminator, designed to specifically address the issues associated with finishing UV, latex, and solvent printing technologies. With AGL’s proprietary nip roll design and heating and nip pressure design, this laminator solves the problems associated with poor laminate adhesion and silvering. AGL also debuts a new medium-life polymeric adhesive-backed vinyl media/overlaminate solution for indoor or outdoor signage.
AnaJet, booth 2954, invites attendees to discover the next generation mPower i-series from AnaJet, now a Ricoh Company. Print vibrant full-color graphics on light and dark t-shirts and other substrates in as little as 20 seconds for a light shirt or 45 seconds for a dark shirt with the mP10-i model. The industrial strength Ricoh printhead is built for speed and durability, and the AnaRIP and Spark for AnaJet graphics programs make the printer user friendly.
Argotec, booth 492, displays its 2-Part TPU Graphic Films System that consists of ArgoGraph-WHITE, a printable polyurethane (TPU) graphic film ideal for automotive wraps and demanding outdoor applications. Part 2 is ArgoGraph-CLEAR, a protective TPU overlaminate facestock designed to be applied over ArgoGraph-White or other printed vinyl substrates. Both parts are available with or without adhesive coating. ArgoGraph films are recyclable and have no halogens, phthalates, PVC, or plasticizers.
Biesse America, booth 717, demonstrates the Biesse Rover J CNC router with optical registration for cutting and routing printed graphics. The Rover J is the answer to increased production for growing shops processing plastic, wood, non-ferrous metals, and composites. Catalina Graphic Films, booth 1735, shows Toy Safety Film 4-mil matte white flexible vinyl with removable adhesive. It surpasses most children safety standards and is ideal for use as decals on typical children’s play surfaces. Also on display, Augusta Wall Graphics, a 6-mil embossed vinyl with an ultra-removable adhesive. It is ideal for interior wall marking/decal applications requiring durability, flexibility, low shrinkage, and reduced edge curl, such as wall decorations and point of purchase decals. Both are compatible with offset, screen, eco-solvent, solvent, latex, and UV-curable printing.
Chemica US, booth 659, manufactures many heat transfer films for both plotters and printers. For plotters there is QuickFlex, a thin and stretchy standard HTV with a five second press, and Galaxy glitter that is layerable and stretchy. For printers, choose EasyPrint or HotMarkPRINT, a thin, stretchy, and soft opaque printable film.
Colex, booth 1949, specializes in wide format finishing. The company offers the Colex Sharpcut 5×10-foot flatbed cutter featuring a triple interchangeable tool head, energy efficient six-zone vacuum system, and vision registration camera and software. An optional conveyor model with automatic roll feeder and board loader is available.
Drytac, booth 1079, promotes the JetMounter JM55 Force, the company’s new heavy duty, entry-level laminator designed for users who require durability and functionality over the long term. Excellent for mounting, laminating, and decaling pressure-sensitive materials, it features a maximum laminating width of 55 inches, large 4.7-inch diameter non-stick rollers, speed control up to 20 feet per minute, a maximum nip opening of one-inch, top and bottom auto-grip supply shafts with brake tension control on the operator side, and an interchangeable 110V or 220V electrical configuration.

FDC Graphic Films, Inc., booth 1471, adds several new solutions to its product line including 12 direct print textiles manufactured by HEYtex. FDC teaches visitors about textiles, how they can be used, and the benefits they provide to printers. A variety of Aslan’s films for windows, walls, and floors are shown in application, and attendees can see creative garment decorations made using Thermal Advantage heat transfer films.
Foster, booth 1744, offers a complete selection of quality, precision cutters and trimmers for wide format, signmaking, and display graphics production. The company provides a complete line of lifters for handling the large media rolls used in grand and large format printing. Visit the booth for a demonstration of the On-a-Roll Lifter, SteelTraK, Evolution-E2, Javelin Integra, Sabre Series 2, and Rotary Trimmers.
GCC, booth 1245, presents its complete range of products and applications. This includes the GCC i-Craft, Expert II, and Jaguar cutting plotters; in addition, the company exhibits its top-selling laser products—GCC LaserPro Spirit LS and C180 II laser engravers and the latest X500 III laser cutter.
Gfp, booth 2560, previews a new addition to the 300 Series entry-level, top-heat laminator line. The new 363TH is a 63-inch version of the 355 TH introduced last year, featuring integrated rear rewind, quick-grip supply shafts, and a new metal tubular heater. Also on display is the new 563TH-2 ProMax Top heat machine with swingout shafts and new quick-grip shaft design.
Graphtec America, booth 607, operates its full line of flatbed cutters, high-performance FC8600, and professional CE6000 series roll feed cutting plotters. i-DesignR Pro II software for signmaking, print/cut, and garment decoration is also featured. The company encourages visitors to see its quality cuts in person and take advantage of Graphtec’s technical support experts.
Hartlauer Bits, booth 2500, carries a wide selection of high-quality router bits for cutting various materials in an assortment of cutting lengths and diameters. Come see the selection and get technical questions answered to get the most out of your CNC router.
