Printing United takes place October 23 to 25, 2019 in Dallas, TX at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The newly launched event provides attendees with access to the latest solutions for apparel, graphics/wide format, and functional printing applications, while extending into the commercial, packaging, and in-plant printing segments.

3A Composites USA, booth 7227, showcases its newest sustainable substrate solution—DISPA. It provides a flat, smooth surface that offers excellent printability in both digital printing and screenprinting applications and is available in both 48- and 60-inch widths for large format printing. DISPA is easy to fabricate—even with hand tools—and can be die cut and CNC routed.
Agfa, booth 8242, brings the Jeti Tauro H3300 LED hybrid 130-inch wide UV LED inkjet printer for sign and display and the Jeti Mira 2732 HS LED, a 106-inch wide flatbed UV LED inkjet ideal for banners, posters, signage, and point of purchase. Demonstrations are available of the Anapurna H3200i LED, a hybrid UV LED system that handles roll media up to 126 inches wide.
AGL, booth 11159, displays its popular Patriot as well as the Compadre model laminators. These laminators are designed to specifically address the issues associated with finishing UV, latex, and solvent printing technologies. With AGL’s proprietary nip roll design and one of the industry’s best heating and nip pressure designs, this laminator solves the problems associated with poor laminate adhesion and silvering.
Aleyant and Ultimate TechnoGraphics, booths 11245 and 11246, co-exhibit to showcase Intelligent Print Workflow, a unique end-to-end print workflow automation solution. Canon Solutions America, booth 7016, highlights large format roll-to-roll, flatbed, continuous feed monochrome and color presses, and cutting and finishing solutions. The Colorado series uses new Canon UVgel inks, formulated for maximum flexibility by increasing the stretchability of each cured ink droplet. Océ FLXfinish technology, a new approach to LED curing, allows for switching between matte or gloss print modes to achieve different finishes.
Colex, booth 8816, introduces the Sharpcut Pro SX1732 5.5×10.5-foot Flatbed Cutter and the 67×67-inch Sharpcut Creator SX1717. The Sharpcut Pro and Sharpcut Creator offer faster speeds, a new sleek design, and a four-inch wider and four-inch longer cutting bed. The Sharpcut Pro and Creator preserves the same proven engineered robust steel welded frame, triple interchangeable tool head, energy efficient vacuum system, and vision registration camera and software, with the ability to add tools and router options.
Color-Logic, booth 10564, empowers brands to stand out and get to market faster. At the show it displays samples printed using digital, offset, inkjet, flexography, gravure, and screen. Color-Logic is compatible with any printing device using silver ink or toner and CMYK on conventional substrate, or any printing device using white ink or toner with CMYK on reflective substrate.

Also at the booth, the DreamScape Holographic Series, which is a trio of wallcoverings. Released in mid-2019, Rave and Limelight boast colorful, dimensional effects that enhance printed designs in outrageous ways. Deja Vu leaves out the color but employs the fractal lens effect that interacts with its environment and creates stunning reflective or hollow effects depending on the design.
Durst, booth 7816, features two new products, the P5 350 and the 2500 L. The P5 350 offers an all-in-one LED hybrid for roll and board printing up to 11.5 feet wide. It is equipped with Durst Print Workflow software and Durst Analytics. The new Rho 2500 L provides Durst technology advancements such as 1,000 dpi with an eight picoliter droplet, printing speed up to 200 boards per hour, and custom configurable automation systems.
Eastman, booth 12545, debuts the Hawk automatic cutting system, a solution specific to advanced printing, packaging, and graphics. The Hawk is a high-speed, precision cutting system with a freely accessible work surface; a robust yet slimline cutting gantry, rack, and pinion drive system; and powerful AC-servo motors. A multi-functional tool head with tangentially controlled tool holders is designed to hold up to seven tools. The Hawk is available in many widths and lengths, featuring cutting speeds of 45 to 90 inches per second.
Eastsign, booth 10759, provides a number of finishing technologies including heat presses, laser cutters, and fabric slitters. Its heat presses are designed for garments, mouse pads, carpets, flags, tents, blankets, or curtains—polyester fabric in rolls or piece. The laser cutter series is available in a maximum size of 3.2×3 meters. The fabric slitter portfolio is fully automated.
EFI, booth 8233, releases the EFI Pro 30f flatbed printer for the first time in North America. It also shows the VUTEk h5—a next-generation 126-inch hybrid flatbed/roll-to-roll LED inkjet printer; EFI VUTEk 3r+ LED roll-to-roll printer; the EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340i dye-sublimation printer with inline calendaring; and the EFI H1625 SD printer for thermoforming applications. EFI also highlights new EFI IQ for wide and superwide format printers—a comprehensive, cloud-based solution that tracks and monitors printer utilization, ink usage, and substrates.
Encore Products, booth 7231, exhibits half-inch foamboard for the framing and printing markets, which is available in White, Black-on-Black, White-Black-White, and White-Black-Black. Its resilient polystyrene memory core bounces back after cutting to leave a clean, uniform edge. Encore’s half-inch boards are ideal for lightweight signage. The Black-on-Black surfaces are acid free and White surfaces are print ready. Standard sheet sizes range from 20×30 to 60×120 feet. High volume cut-to-size sheets are quickly available upon request.
Epson, booths 5410 and 5610, launches a variety of new solutions. In addition, it highlights the recently announced SureColor F6370. The 44-inch high-performance dye-sublimation printer offers print speeds up to 680 square feet per hour. Designed with ease of use in mind, the SureColor F6370 comes equipped with Epson Edge workflow software, featuring an Adobe PostScript 3 engine. For added convenience, the SureColor F6370 also includes an easily accessible maintenance bay, a built-in cutter for roll-to-sheet convenience, and an optional take-up reel system for unattended printing.
FASTENation, booth 4212, focuses on a range of adhesive tapes and fastener products. The SUMMIT Adhesive line includes high-performance tapes available in various thicknesses, temperature performance ranges, substrate bonding capabilities, and tack levels. FalconTape offers aggressive bonding power with a dimensionally stable release liner. FASTENfoam double-coated tapes offer high tensile strength and are available in varying thicknesses and combinations of permanent and removable adhesives. SilverTape High Bond Acrylic Tapes are the ideal replacement for rivets, screws, and spot welds. They provide long-term holding power and are suitable for interior and exterior applications.
Fisher Textiles, booth 8033, supplies free sample books with its newest and noteworthy products. This includes ET 4000 Board Short for apparel, GF4020 Nirvana Purity used in front lit framing systems, DD7701 Primary Flag for flag applications, UV2610 Tango used in backlit frames, and GF 9766 Poly Cube for home furnishings. Fisher Textiles’ portfolio consists of more than 150 fabric options in widths up to 16 feet.
FLEXcon, booth 8024, manufactures self-adhesive film. Fluid Color, booth 8201, showcases a UV inkjet line up of wide format HandTop machines. The high-productivity Z105F flatbed with linear motor and symmetrical array CMYK+W demonstrates incredible speed and quality modes. The R84F flatbed brings nature to life with tactile printing capabilities married with dynamic, crowd-pleasing varnish. Finally, the Z63H hybrid with dual channel Kyocera printheads offers robust six-color printing.
Gandy Digital, booth 2222, unveils its new generation large format flatbed printer, the Gladi8tor. Get ready to be blown away by the advanced NanoDot technology with three picoliter drop size, giving smooth color and sharpness combined with increased speeds of over 60 boards an hour or 30 boards for best quality. Gandy also offers an upgrade to the new NanoDot technology in its existing Pred8tor and Domin8tor flatbed printers already in the field.
GCC America, Inc., booth 3400, presents a complete range of products including the GCC LaserPro Spirit GLS Hybrid and C180 II laser engravers; StellarMark IFII laser marker; JF-240UV flatbed printer; and cutting plotter lines Jaguar V LX, Puma IV, Expert II 24 LX, AR 24, and i-Craft 2.0.
GMG Americas, booth 10561, previews a new method of digital color communication via color cards. The company currently offers GMG ColorServer and GMG MX technology. GMG ColorServer’s automatic color conversion ensures consistent print results across all printing processes and substrates. GMG ColorServer allows an accurate and cost-efficient conversion of spot colors into process colors.
Graphic Finishing Partners (Gfp), booth 6804, expands its line of Linerless PSA laminating film. Designed for wide format digital graphics, it saves money, protects the environment, and delivers crystal clear results without a liner. Linerless film runs at speeds twice as fast as traditional films with a liner and saves 50 percent of the cost. Adding to the current polypropylene substrate for short-term graphics, Gfp now offers a polyester version with a five year durability for longer term, more demanding applications.
Graphtec America, Inc., booths 4522 and 4623, debuts new products and demonstrates the capabilities of its full lineup using a variety of applications from apparel design to decals and wide format signage creation.
Heraeus Noblelight America, booth 10964, displays its UV LED Semray and microwave-powered LightHammer UV curing solutions for digital high-production presses. Visitors can see the Semray 4103, ideal for single-pass presses, and water cooled UV LED curing systems for high-speed digital printing. Retrofitting existing presses is easy and cost effective using modular UV curing systems. HIX, booth 800, promotes its large format heat press, the LF-4464. Its main features are even heat and pressure over the entire platen surface. The unit is built around a sturdy A-frame structure with advanced safety features. It can be used with one or two independent lower tables.
INX, booth 10555, highlights high-performance TRIANGLE brand alternative inks, plus dye-sublimation and Prodigy brand inks for industrial print applications. Of note is TRIANGLE HFB multipurpose UV-curable inks, a cost-efficient and premium formulation that runs cleaner than OEM inks, with truer reds and excellent adhesion and flexibility on a range of graphic medias.
JERZEES, booth 2100, shows its new Snow Heather and Premium Blend collections. The Snow Heather collection showcases the company’s latest fabric innovation—slub cotton/poly fabric that offers tonal texture and a super soft hand for an elevated look. Leister Technologies, booth 5004, introduces the new UNIPLAN 500 automatic banner welder. The UNIPLAN 500 is capable of welding hems and pockets as well as overlaps. Switching between hem and overlap welding takes just a few seconds. Integrated material lifting and automatic, single motion engagement of the nozzle makes the work easier and increases reliability. Mimaki USA, booth 5216, provides an array of digital printing solutions for sign graphics, textile and apparel, industrial products, and 3D. MultiCam, Inc., booth 7801, celebrates its 30th anniversary by displaying its full range of versatile high-speed cutting and rigid routing solutions priced to fit any budget. The Celero 5 HS (High Speed) series is a full production digital cutting platform with knife cutting speeds of up to 6,000 inches per minute (ipm). Mutoh America, booth 4404, exhibits the ValueJet 2638X 100-inch eco-solvent printer along with the 1638UH 64-inch hybrid UV LED. It also shows the new XpertJet platform, which launched in September 2019.
My Press Needs (MPN), booth 7658, debuts its new cutting rule currently under development. A breakthrough in die cutting, the rule combines the speed of die cutting with improved edge quality similar to table cutting. In tests at MPN’s Research and Training Center, the rule die cut ¼-inch Falconboard All White with no serrated edge, crushing, or cascading. MPN demonstrates how its Soft Cut System and newly patented Widemouth Crest Clamshell die cuts substrates like rigid plastics, foamboards, and styrene, while enabling printers and converters to run existing dies on the same press with changeovers in minutes.
Nekoosa, booth 4121, carries on a 50-plus year tradition for manufacturing carbonless papers, while also developing a diverse portfolio of pressure-sensitive vinyl and films, application tapes, polyester synthetic paper, and other specialty printing substrates. Since 2013, the company acquired Catalina Graphic Films, ClingZ, and RTape, expanding its breadth of products.
