Part 2 of 2
Wholesale printing to the trade is an efficient and cost-effective ways to for a print service provider (PSP) to outsource a project. The alternative is to pass that job on to a competitor, but why do that when you can partner with someone who is guaranteed to offer the project on time at the quality level you and the customer require.
The first part of this series looked at Signobi, an online, trade-only printer that specializes in completely custom print solutions at low wholesale pricing. Here we spotlight another company offering similar benefits to its fellow PSPs.
Print Every Day, All Year
Signs365, based in Shelby Twp., MI, is a trade-only grand format wholesale printer. It offers 24-hour standard production with overnight, anywhere shipping to trade professionals and graphic artists. Its custom support and services are essential cornerstones to its success.
The company recently introduced Have It Tomorrow (HIT), which is guaranteed rush service. If a customer orders their product before 1:00 p.m. EST, it is assured delivery the next day. While the service is only available on select products and additional charges do apply, it’s an ideal alternative for any PSP in a pinch. Overnight Anywhere shipping is also a big draw, with FedEx $10 flat rate overnight shipping available to over 25,000 U.S. cities.
A user-friendly customer portal expedites the order experience. Once logged in to the customer-specific storefront, users can drag and drop to upload images or files of completed graphics. When shopping for a new substrate to print a graphic on, users can read detailed information on applications usage and composition of the material. Lastly, there is now a more fast and consistent ordering process, with quick help topics available for the viewer.
The company’s high-paced production is fueled by the use of Hewlett-Packard (HP) printers, the HP Scitex FB10000 Industrial press for rigid substrates and HP Latex 3000 Printer for flexible media. Both printers allow Signs365 to produce in higher quality than ever before, according to the company.
These printers enable output on a number of substrates including canvas, poster, mesh, magnet, reflective, HDPE, aluminum, one way window film, clear media, Coroplast, PVC, polystyrene, dry erase, and vinyl banner. The result is an effective variety of products for the PSP to choose from.
Trade Only
Many PSPs shy away from outsourcing their work. They worry about the quality matching their own, which can dissuade their customer from using them again. Deadline concerns may have them hesitate about taking the extra step of processing the work out of house; will it get done in time?
While both of these concerns are legitimate, working with trusted partners like trade-only wholesale printers can alleviate the fears. These companies’ main goal is to work with their peers to process a high-quality product as quickly and efficiently as possible. They are built to withstand high-traffic orders and accommodate jobs that range from the most common to the unusual.
