The International Sign Association (ISA) returns to Las Vegas, NV this April 8 to 11, 2015 for its annual ISA International Sign Expo. The trade show, housed at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, is guaranteed to attract crowds of qualified graphic arts buyers. Attendees will be introduced to a number of new products and services throughout the expo hall. Here, we share some of the vendors exhibiting at the ISA International Sign Expo. The Exhibitors
3A Composites USA, booth 2775, showcases SMART-X graphic display board, a heavy-duty foamboard that is 100 percent recyclable. It consists of an all-plastic sheet constructed with a moisture-resistant expanded polystyrene core and two layers of UV-resistant solid polystyrene. SMART-X can be installed outdoors without experiencing any significant change in color for a period of up to two years.
Agfa Graphics, booth 1350, demonstrates the Anapurna M2500i, a 98-inch, six-color plus white UV inkjet system with an optional automated board feeder for increased productivity. Designed for sign shops, digital printers, photo labs, and graphic screenprinters, it is ideal for indoor, outdoor, and niche applications. It prints on rigid and flexible media including boards/sheets, roll to roll, and roll to sheet. Its maximum speed is 1,238 square feet per hour.
AGL’s Digital Films Division, booth 1544, offers an expanded lineup of laminates, adhesives, and media. Its products are designed to meet strict standards to ensure AGL films are some of the industry’s best. Beaver Paper & Graphic Media Inc., booth 3996, delivers a selection of TexPrint Sublimation Papers for water- and solvent-based printers in a variety of sizes and roll and cut sheet sizes, including new mug-sized sheets. A fresh lineup of TexStyles Graphic Fabrics for sublimation direct and transfer printing platforms is now available as well as ProTex, a cost-effective protection tissue for heat presses. Catalina Graphic Films, booth 2186, displays two eco-friendly products. Permovable is a 2-mil eco-friendly, non-PVC pressure-sensitive film developed for short-term, high-quality outdoor advertising used for street and concrete graphics. Opti-Cling with Enviro-Cling technology is an 8-mil clear static cling vinyl on a clear film liner.
Chemica US, booth 5380, features high-quality heat transfer vinyl. In the spotlight for cut-table material is the company’s most popular hot peel vinyl—Quickflex. Not only is it soft, stretchable, and easy to apply, it’s only a five second press application. Quickflex is now available in 35 different colors.
CLN of South Florida Inc., booth 1963, designs and manufactures a line of router tables and flatbed cutters for digital cutting solutions. It offers standard or customs sizes. Options include multiple table tops, multiple spindles, the CLN Vision System, a tangential knife on a signal gantry, automatic tool changers, multiple clamp down devices, misting units, chip collection systems, and vacuum hold down systems.
DSA Phototech, booth 4090, introduces its new, budget-friendly Backlit LED Light Box, which combines the brightness and energy efficiency of LED back lighting with an ADA-compliant aluminum frame only 2⅞ inches in depth and hinged or snap front graphic access. It is available in sizes up to 48×96 inches and silver, black, or custom finishes.
Epson, booth 3492, demonstrates its leading printing technology, including the SureColor S-Series 64-inch solvent printers, combining Epson’s latest technological breakthroughs with the Epson MicroPiezo TFP printhead to bring previously unseen levels of quality, performance, and value to signage, vehicle graphics, and fine art. Epson also shows the SureColor F-Series, the SureColor F2000-series, and the SureColor T-Series.
Esko, booth 4392, exhibits its Kongsberg tables, which allow fast, precision die-less cutting that handle a variety of substrates. On display is the Kongsberg C, offering a fast throughput for a 126-inch digital finisher; the Kongsberg V, an entry level cutting table that offers durability, precision, and ease of use at an attractive investment level; and the Kongsberg XN, a versatile digital finishing device. Also demonstrated is the i-cut Suite software to streamline production workflow.
Fisher Textiles, booth 2580, has fabric experts on hand, as well as an extensive fabric lineup. It provides quality textiles with over 25 years of experience in producing fabrics for dye-sublimation, latex, solvent, and UV printing. The company stands behind its products and takes pride in providing some of the best fabrics in the digital printing industry.
Foster Keencut, booth 1119, highlights the new 98-inch SteelTraK that easily handles full-size 4×8-foot boards. Plus, the On-A-Roll Lifter allows operators to move wide and heavy rolls of media from the warehouse to the printer. The SteelTraK, Evolution-E2, Javelin Integra, Sabre Series-2, Rotary Trimmers, and Straight Edges are also demonstrated.
GCC, booth 1768, features its GCC LaserPro MG380Hybrid. It is equipped with metal and glass laser tubes, which allow users to produce superior engraving and cutting work. The LaserPro MG380Hybrid is able to activate the metal or glass tube automatically without manual setup to achieve greater efficiency.
Global Imaging, booth 5968, celebrates 20 years as a dye-sublimation (dye-sub) and UV grand format integrator. See the Eos126 industrial dye-sub printer; the Novus Synergia, true hybrid UV; and two brand-new Novus products.
GoVivid, Rowmark division, booth 946, offers a selection of small format UV LED printers that produce easy-to-execute results. These UV LED printers are uncomplicated and easy to use. GoVivid provides everything from fixtures, inks, and print media to all the sign making extras required.
Graphic Finishing Partners, LLC, booth 620, demonstrates the 355TH entry-level top heat laminator. Inspired by shops wanting more than a basic cold system, it includes new heat roller technology, integrated rear rewind, and new aluminum quick-grip supply shafts.
Graphtec America, booth 1300, showcases the FC8600 series high-performance cutting plotters. It allows print-only, cut-only, and print-and-cut applications. The FC8600 cuts a variety of vinyl, reflective, and automotive films.
Hartlauer Bits, booth 2444, is a sign industry leader in router bits. It offers free ground shipping and a ten percent discount off vendors’ list prices. The company offers the largest stock of hard-to-find bits in the industry; many are its own proprietary products.
HP, booth 624, demonstrates its portfolio of sign and display solutions, featuring third-generation HP Latex technology. Mimaki USA, Inc., booth 4574, displays the Mimaki CJV150 Series cut-and-print devices, which use eco-solvent inks and a variety of colors including silver, white, light black, and orange. On-board precision cutting capability provides the ability to create labels, decals, vehicle markings, and t-shirt transfers. The device is available in 32-, 43-, 54-, and 64-inch widths.
Mutoh America, Inc., booth 1638, promotes its ValueJet 426UF 19-inch UV LED printer. Print a variety of materials, up to 2.75 inches thick, using CMYK, white, and varnish for an embossed effect. Mutoh’s UV LED ink is 100 percent solid, meaning no volatile organic compounds or hazardous air pollutants. It is ideal for printing specialty items and prototypes and is available at $19,995 MSRP.
Nusign Supply, booth 324, is a leading distributor of digital equipment, ink, software, and supplies. It recently became a distributor for Kiian Digital. Kiian offers variety of sublimation inks to work in various printers and transfer on various transfer paper or print direct-to-textile materials.
ONYX Graphics, Inc., booth 920, highlights ONYX Textile Edition RIP software, which aids in overcoming the unique challenges of textile printing. Its proprietary color engine delivers an expanded color gamut that enables matching of corporate colors and achieving deeper darks.
