Fisher Textiles, the leading supplier of fabrics for digital printing, has added two new fabrics to its grand format line of fabrics for Dye Sublimation printing.
For stretch applications and tension displays, GF 5020 Gumbee, is 90% Polyester, 10% Spandex and has outstanding stretch and recovery that does not loosen over time. It has an excellent white point and weighs 7.6 oz/yd2. Available up to 126-inches wide, uses include exhibit graphics, geometric signage, hanging banners, pillowcase displays and silicone edge graphics. It is flame retardant and meets NFPA 701, California Title 19 and under ASTM E84, it meets Class A, flame spread index 25 or less and smoke developed index 450 or less.
For backlit SEG, GF 6051 Super Sonic is an improved version of GF 6050 Super Sonic, our soft, textured knit backlit framing system fabric that produces excellent vibrancy of print, amplified when backlit. It is wrinkle and craze resistant. Crazing is the spider-web appearance that can be ingrained within graphics that have been printed, folded and unfolded. Since it does not craze, finished SEGs made with Super Sonic can ship folded instead of on a roll, to save on shipping and storage costs. It has a near equal stretch, allowing for a perfect fit in framing systems. It weighs 7.7 oz/yd2 and is stocked 126-inches wide. It is flame retardant and meets NFPA 701, California Title 19, DIN-4102 B1 and under ASTM E84, it meets Class A, flame spread index 25 or less and smoke developed index 450 or less.
