Mac Papers, one of the largest merchant distributors in the Southeast U.S., today announced that it has entered into an agreement to supply dye sublimation transfer papers manufactured by industry leader Coldenhove. The agreement was facilitated by #1 Network, Inc., an organization of independent graphic arts dealers.
“We are pleased to be among the few select distributors in the United States with an opportunity to supply Coldenhove’s outstanding sublimation transfer papers for the growing dye sub market,” said Marty Davis, director of wide format and graphics for Mac Papers. “Coldenhove’s Jetcol® and Jet-X® sublimation papers are proven to provide extremely high transfer yields and are the absolute benchmark for the industry.”
In addition to manufacturing the sublimation papers, Coldenhove also produces the coatings, maintaining total quality control. According to Davis, Coldenhove’s advanced coatings provide distinct advantages. “Compared to conventional coatings, Coldenhove coatings demonstrate higher density, imparting more vibrant and consistent colors in the transfer process, while using less ink and running at faster transfer speeds,” stated Davis.
Established in 1661, Coldenhove is widely regarded as the inventor of digital dye sublimation paper. The company’s Jetcol paper was granted a patent in 1998. Coldenhove is certified to ISO 9001 and 14001, and employs Lean Six Sigma throughout its operation.
“Consistent quality is the true hallmark of Jetcol sublimation papers,” stated Davis. “Achieving the same results from print job to print job generates a high degree of production predictability, and that creates a powerful value proposition for our customers, especially when enhanced by our extensive distribution network and wide format expertise.”
