Printing United—the latest iteration of the SGIA Expo—takes place October 23 to 25, 2019 in Dallas, TX. Held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, the event promises a new look at the printing industry by combining wide format and commercial print. Here we provide information on vendors exhibiting at the show.

AXYZ, booth 1000, showcases some of the printing industry’s most versatile machines—the AXYZ Trident and Infinite CNC routers. The Challenge Machinery Company, booth 8503, introduces the new Champ series of paper cutters. The 15-inch Champ 150 and 18.5-inch Champ 185 are portable floor model and free standing hydraulic guillotine cutters that deliver a major improvement over traditional lighter duty electric cutters. The Champ 150 features a manual back gauge and the Champ 185 is available in both manual and programmable models.
E.L. Hatton Sales Co., booth 125, supplies Banner Ups Adhesive Banner Corner Tabs, PowerTabs, PowerTape and MegaTape Hem Reinforcing Tapes, and new BravoTabs. Fujifilm, booth 8220, exhibits the new J Press 750S, with press speeds up to 3,600 sheets per hour, and introducing a larger sheet size; this third generation J Press doubles letter-size output over the previous version, making it the most productive production inkjet platform available. Attendees also experience the Acuity Ultra, a superwide UV printer available in 126- to 197-inch versions. It features impressive cost in-use, allowing for the power to profit from interior and exterior applications where high-impact, near-photographic quality is required. Rounding out the Fujifilm booth is the Acuity LED 40 Series of flatbed printers, featuring up to eight color channels, including the options of white, varnish, and light inks making it an all-around solution.
GBC/SEAL, booth 4004, invites attendees to experience the evolution of lamination. Start with the new GBC Foton 30—a fully-automated desktop laminator with auto-cartridge. An enhanced Digital Control Box and a new modular motor attachment for the 1.6×3.2-meter device with a number of tool options for a variety of applications is on display. All-new ImagePerfect large format media, EDGE READY heat transfer textile film, LexEdge Wide Format Specialty Media materials, and GERBER EDGE FX printer are showcased alongside Gerber’s small format design-print-cut system powered by OMEGA software.

Jacquard Inkjet Fabric Systems, booth 2426, makes its first appearance at the SGIA/Printing United show. Master Magnetics, booth 4207, demonstrates ThinFORCE high-energy magnetic sheeting, which provides exceptional strength in a thinner, lighter material. ThinFORCE is ideal for vehicle graphics, retail point of purchase displays, wallcoverings, and other applications where lightweight printable magnetic sheeting is needed. The material is engineered for both indoor and outdoor use and has the same strength in half the thickness and weight as industry-standard 30-mil sheeting.
