Simply the most cost effective and convenient manner by which to create evenly balanced DIY LED backlighting without hot spots for signage, graphics, posters, promotional messages, furniture and other translucent surfaces in stores, restaurants, museums, exhibit booths as well as commercial and residential buildings, Outwater Plastics’ newly introduced Brite Light Sheet and updated Tri-Mod and Nova Sheet LED Backlighting Systems offer an unprecedented, straightforward method for designers and fabricators to readily produce the look of costly, custom manufactured backlit light guide panels that are comparable in price to stock backlighting systems.
Comprising a self-adhering backing sheet that affixes to acrylic or glass surfaces without difficulty, the Brite Light Sheet is devised for use with Outwater’s L-Task-149 Aluminum Channel and LED Ribbon Strip Lighting to diffuse consistent backlighting without any required installation space in between the Brite Light Sheet and the piece to be backlit.
Outwater’s Brite Light Sheet’s low tack resistance allows it to be easily removed and repositioned as needed without any incurred damage to the Brite Light Sheet itself or the surface to which it has been adhered.
Outwater’s Brite Light Sheet can be cut to any size or shape, permitting one to fashion exceptional creations that are certain to garner unparalleled attention that would otherwise be unattainable using conventional backlighting methods.
Available in 4-ft. (H) x 100-ft. (L) rolls, Outwater’s Brite Light Sheet can be purchased in 4-sq. ft. sections for under $2.50 per sq. ft. and can be shipped via UPS.
Outwater also offers its moderately priced Tri-Mod and premium Nova LED Backlighting Panel Systems for backlighting functions that are not suited for the Brite Light Sheet.
Sold in six different sizes, Outwater’s 1/16-in. thick, prewired, low voltage Tri-Mod LED Backlighting Panels quickly interlink to one another without the need for soldering, and can be installed and arranged in many arrangements by anyone using standard tools without any special knowledge of electronics.
Constructed of virtually shatterproof fiberglass, Outwater’s Tri-Mod LED Backlighting Panels use energy efficient, dimmable SMD3528 LED Chips that are rated for approximately 50,000 hours of use with little generated heat and no UV. Driven by constant current technology, the Tri-Mod LED Backlighting Panels deliver consistent brightness with corresponding luminous intensity and chromaticity. Each LED chip has a beam spread of 120° and provides 720 lumens or 5500 lux per sq. ft., enabling highlighted works to be mounted with as little as 1-1/2-in. of installation space.
Manufactured to one’s specifications in any required size, shape or color with several single or double sided lighting options from which to choose, Outwater’s Nova Sheet LED Backlighting System’s Panels are designed to fit directly behind or beneath any flat translucent surface to be backlit without any necessary space for installation. Additionally, Outwater’s Nova Sheet LED Backlighting System’s Panels can be wall mounted with screws, Z-clips, U-channel or Mirror clips, and also offer unique drilling and cutting possibilities to accommodate numerous types of applications.
Produced from optical grade PMMA acrylic light guide plates, Outwater’s Nova Sheet LED Backlighting System’s Panels are laser etched with multiple grooves at precise locations using patented 3-D V-Cutting Technology to create a uniform matrix. This medium serves to maximize and disperse even, edge lit “frameless” illumination from the Nova Sheet’s discreetly integrated LEDs in its recessed edges across the entire surface of the panel.
Boasting low energy consumption, Outwater’s Nova Sheet LED Backlighting System utilizes 70% less power than comparable fluorescent lighting and employs patented heat sink technology, which not only increases the LED lifespan up to approximately 70,000 hours, the system’s light output can be tailored from 2000 to 10000 lux by means of an available inline dimmer with an adjustable color temperature range from 3000K (warm white) to 5300K (pure/cool white).
UL Recognized or Approved for all types of projects, Outwater’s Nova Sheet LED Backlighting System’s Panels are lightweight, weighing only 2 lbs. per sq. ft., and are offered in sizes from 2-in. (W) x 2-in. (L) x 5/16-in. (D) [50mm x 50mm x 8mm] up to 59-in. (W) x 118-in. (L) x 5/16-in. (D) [1499mm x 2997mm x 8mm].
Outwater’s Nova Sheet LED Backlighting System is now also obtainable in an RGB and a variable white Color Changing Temperature (CCT) format, allowing one to further customize the system’s use by effortlessly generating any desired color or shade of white.
