Those attending the 2019 ISA International Sign Expo in Las Vegas will be among the first to see Roland’s newest technologies for the sign and graphics markets, including four recently launched devices and a special product preview. Roland DGA will be showcasing the impressive capabilities of its latest introductions – the new TrueVIS™ VG2 series eco-solvent wide-format printer/cutters, VersaSTUDIO BT-12 direct-to-garment printer, VersaUV® LEF2-200 flatbed UV printer, and DGSHAPE DE-3 rotary engraver. Visitors to the Roland DGA booth, 1419, can also get a “sneak peek” at the new Texart™ RT-640M multi-function dye-sublimation printer, prior to its official launch later this year. In addition, the company will be conducting live, interactive vehicle wrap demonstrations daily featuring the pros from Digital EFX Wraps.
“There will be plenty of excitement in our booth this year, as we’ll be unveiling a slew of innovative devices, including the new TrueVIS VG2 which just won the ISA Innovation Award for printers,” said Roland DGA’s President and CEO, Andrew Oransky. “Each of these new products is designed and built to help increase productivity and profits for our customers. And, like all Roland offerings, they’re backed by the best service and support in the industry.”
Incorporating a host of technological advancements, Roland’s TrueVIS VG2-540 and VG2-640 are uniquely engineered to usher in a new era of wide-format image quality, versatility, productivity and ease of use. State-of-the-art FlexFire™ print heads jet Roland’s new specially formulated TR2 ink, available in three different configurations with CMYK, plus additional Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Light Black, White or Orange. These ink choices, including new Orange ink, allow for a wider color gamut and more color control than ever before. In addition, VG2 series inkjets have earned certifications for long-lasting results from the industry’s top manufacturers, including the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty and Avery Dennison’s ICS Performance Guarantee. They’re also GREENGUARD Gold Certified for safe indoor graphic applications.
Attendees can check out the new VersaSTUDIO BT-12 as well – Roland’s first direct-to-garment printer. This compact, affordable device makes printing directly on cotton apparel and accessories simple, efficient, and cost-effective. With the BT-12, its easier than ever to print full-color graphics, including photos, logos and text, directly on T-shirts, tote-bags, interior décor items, and more. Its small footprint, attractive pricing and included Two-Year Trouble-Free Warranty allow individuals and businesses to personalize products with a low initial investment, high-performance peace-of-mind, and in locations where space may be limited, such as retail shops, kiosks, gift shops, tourist destinations and special event venues.
Also on display for the first time at the ISA International Sign Expo will be Roland’s VersaUV LEF2-200 flatbed UV printer. The LEF2-200 builds upon the VersaUV LEF series’ renowned ability to print amazing full-color graphics and unique textures, including premium finishes such as simulated embossing, onto a vast array of materials and objects up to 3.94 inches (100 mm) thick. Several improvements, including new features that minimize set-up time before printing, reduce ink consumption during maintenance procedures, and increase overall printer reliability, make the LEF2-200 unbeatable for a wide range of product personalization and customization applications.
If you’re a sign and graphics professional looking to add engraving to your workflow, you won’t want to miss the new DGSHAPE DE-3 rotary engraver from Roland. The DE-3 continues the legacy of Roland engraving, adding advanced laser-pointing technology, ethernet connectivity, automatic depth regulation, and other enhancements for unsurpassed performance and ease of use.
Roland DGA will also be previewing the new Texart RT-640M – an intelligent, multi-function sublimation printer that gives users the freedom to print on transfer paper or direct to fabric. The RT-640M simplifies dye-sublimation for soft signage, apparel and textile applications with its direct-to-fabric print option, while maintaining the media versatility of printing to transfer paper for rigid sign, merchandise, and hard surface customization.
