Praise for silicone edge graphics (SEG) displays tends to be consistent. Vendors describe the final result as sleek, modern, polished, spectacular, and impressive, providing a luxury appearance and maximizing the print’s effect. Though the effect is uniform, the structures vary. There are wall-mounted, freestanding, cube, ceiling-hung, and modular displays, many with a light box option.
All Shapes and Sizes
AGAM Group, Ltd. offers the AGAM Modular System, available in an SEG display option. It is used for retail store fixtures, display cases, shelving, and temporary and permanent partitions. The product line is compromised of numerous extrusions, allowing for customized system.
Direct LED Frames sells directly to printers and keeps a large inventory in stock at its San Diego, CA facility, shipping most orders within 24 hours. Options include single-sided unlit, two-sided unlit, single-sided backlit, and double-sided backlit, custom-sized to the customer’s specifications. Direct LED Frames offers three variations of LED backlit frames. Its LED panels are uniformly illuminated by LED strips mounted in the perimeters, giving the illusion that the acrylic sheet is glowing. The LED lattice has “ladders” that hang directly behind the prints to provide strong, even lighting, which makes them especially well suited to large applications. LED edgelit mounts LED strips in the frame with the lenses focused to illuminate across the back of the print. In addition, the company will handle volume sales of extrusions, hardware and LED lights and accessories.
