Print service providers (PSPs) create both static and digital graphics for corporations to advertise and market their business by displaying brands and logos in their offices. Digital signage is used to create customized messages for customers and employees in communal areas like lobbies and conference rooms. In part two of this series, we look at a print shop that considers the sky the limit for creating masterful digital signage in corporate settings.
Mile High Graphics
Mile High Graphics was established in 2009 in Denver, CO. The shop crafted its name from Denver, known as the Mile High City for its natural beauty. The print shop embodies its name and commits to going the extra mile for customers when needed.
When the PSP began, it offered products that other print shops did not. Over time the company grew into a full-functioning sign, graphics, design, and print shop. Today it serves Denver and surrounding areas for several services.
Mile High Graphics offers digital and offset printing, dye-sublimation, flexography, large and grand format printing, and screenprinting. It produces graphics from vehicle wraps to trade show and window graphics. The print shop creates signage for restaurants, stadiums, and retail environments. Mile High Graphics even offers printing of business cards, booklets, coasters, flyers, magnets, menus, roll labels, and static clings.
With an experienced staff of 12, Mile High Graphics’ mission is to map out the customer’s vision and create an identity through a graphic format while providing personal attention and the best customer experience in the industry. No matter how tight the budget or deadline is, the print shop is committed to providing exceptional quality.
Corporate environments demand several different types of signage. Most businesses opt for an outdoor sign of the company’s name to identify an office building. Mile High Graphics uses various materials with full-color, high-resolution printed graphics and pigmented vinyl to create professional outdoor signage for businesses. The shop also uses vinyl for indoor signage and for lighted and channel letter signs.
Utilizing digital signage in a corporate setting creates a sense of corporate culture. Signage that implements the company’s mission or goals creates a positive outlook for employees. Graphics with inspirational quotes are becoming popular in corporate settings to raise employee morale. Digital signage is also used to recognize employee performances and milestones.
For corporations looking for a bigger impact, Mile High graphics offers floor, wall, and window graphics. The print shop offers complete design services by its experienced in-house staff and includes installation. To create wallcoverings, the print shop uses latex printers and PVC-free wallpaper from HP, Inc. “We have all latex printers in our shop as we find them far superior than any solvent printer,” says Keith Strachan, owner, Mile High Graphics.
Mile High Graphics uses HP PVC-free Wall Paper for interior spaces. The wallpaper is applied and removed with water, eliminating odor and providing long lasting prints. It is FSC and GREENGUARD Children and Schools certified. HP’s wallpaper is used to create detailed and colorful wall murals.
The HP wallpaper is 54-inch by 300 feet roll provides up to 20 years of display permanence indoors, away from the direct sun. It is a flame-retardant wall paper with an ultra-smooth finish. The wallpaper prints with HP latex inks. The prints meet AgBB criteria for health-related evaluation of volatile organic compound emissions.
Mile High Graphics uses the HP Latex 3100 that proofs while printing with LED proofing lights and has roll-to-roll free fall and dual roll capabilities. It uses six colors at 1,200 dpi and retains media value as HP Latex Inks conform to the media surface and preserve gloss and texture.
The HP Latex 3100 prints at 830 square feet per hour for indoor quality at production levels. The Printer Status Beacon allows one person to operate multiple printers efficiently and has an embedded spectrophotometer for closed-loop color calibration.
Strachan shares that latex printers offer “better color consistence and are not only better for the environment, but there is no outgas of solvent which is better for the health of all of our employees.”
Digitally Inspiring
Corporations turn to print shops for digital signage that will improve employee morale in office. It is becoming popular to find motivational quotes, customized messages for employees, and signage that recognizes the company’s performance in corporate environments. Not only does this signage affect the corporation’s employees, but it also makes bold marketing and advertisement statements to potential customers and business partners. Mile High Graphics uses their digital expertise to create signage for corporate environments.
