UFABRIK Water & Airtight Tent Textile has been given classification clarity through U.S Scope ruling, confirming that it is a dedicated fabric for canopies, marquees, and gazebos.
This classification is highly significant. Rather than being treated like a generic canvas, UFABRIK Water & Airtight Tent has been officially recognized for what it was produced for: a specialist textile engineered specifically for tent and canopy structures.
While the product remains subject to the standard tariffs applicable to U.S imported products from China, UFABRIK Water & Airtight Tent has escaped the extreme 264% anti-dumping duty that conventional canvas products are now subjected to. UFABRIK Water & Airtight Tent Textile is currently the only specific tent ‘canvas’ product available for U.S. import backed by a published CBP ruling.
Commercially, this helps with import planning, removing any uncertainty to do with anti-dumping penalties, and offers US distributors, manufacturers, and print professionals the clarity and confidence to source a unique high-performance tent substrate.
Demand for tent materials

It is water and airtight, manufactured with a robust heavyweight yarn with a print face featuring a ‘Lotus’ effect, which repels moisture, keeping structures dry and secure.
UFABRIK’s Water & Airtight Tent Textile is also PVC-free, REACH compliant and fire-rated: N13501(European), NFPA 701 (US), and complies with California Administrative code – Title 19, Section 1237. It is compatible with paper and direct-to-textile printing, which ensures vibrant print quality and ink that won’t smudge or transfer when wet. UFABRIK Tent Textile can also be folded, stored, and transported without detriment.
