Xcel Products, the leader in next generation changeable graphics this month unveils eco-Board XP, the company’s new flagship expanded polystyrene hanging display product. Introduced through a strategic partnership with New Hampshire Plastics, eco-Board combines eco-friendly, PVC-free properties with high performance and ultimate flexibility when creating and printing displays.
“For a long time if you selected a green product to reduce your eco footprint, you’d likely have to sacrifice something: price, performance or product quality,” says Stephen Peterson, President. “But eco-Board, much like our EcoMedia line, is engineered and designed to improve on the performance or qualities of traditional PVC products while still helping brand owners and printers follow environmental protocols.”
Eco-Board XP offers a smooth, high quality print service superior to PVC products currently on the market. PVC-free and comprised of expanded, closed-cell High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS), eco-Board XP has been specifically formulated and engineered for screen printing, digital flatbed printing and easy fabrication.
Available in both custom and stock sizes, colors and gauges from .080 inches to .300 inches, eco-Board XP is 20 percent stiffer and lighter than traditional PVC boards. It offers a consistent gauge tolerance, vibrant edge color when routed and a high quality print surface. Colors can be color matched in days as opposed to several weeks for PVC materials. Stock sizes include White 3mm nominal (.110 inches) x 50 inches x 100 inch sheets and 6mm nominal (.220 inches) x 50 inches x 100 inch sheets.
Eco-Board XP is compatible with both digital printing (UV or LED cured) and screen printing (UV or conventional). Recommended fabrication include mounting with pressure sensitive adhesive, routing, saw cutting and drilling, heat bending, knife cutting and die cutting/punching.
“We seek out and work with only the very best, category-leading materials producers,” adds Peterson. “So we’re delighted to partner with an organization and respected brand like New Hampshire Plastics.”
