From business branding to personal style, vehicle graphics are more popular than ever. Companies rely on printed wraps to showcase their message, while individuals turn to color change films for paint protection or a bold new look. Reflective media improves visibility in emergency and low-light situations, and pinstriping delivers a simple, low-cost touch of flair. With so many options, vehicle graphic media offers something for everyone.
Learn more about vehicle graphic media in our November issue. Here we highlight various media options from vendors that participated in the article.

Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions offers printed vehicle and fleet wrapping films that deliver vibrant color consistency across an entire vehicle fleet, with fast and simple installation and removal to afford businesses the opportunity to continually change designs with ease and versatility. Efficient application helps owners achieve a wide variety of custom effects and graphic finishes to make their fleet really stand out. “At Avery Dennison, we are focused on continuous innovation resulting in wraps and graphics that are exciting and impactful, including a vinyl color matching service,” notes Joey Heiob, East regional technical service representative, Avery Dennison.
Avery Dennison offers Easy Apply RS adhesive technology with most of its digitally printable films—MPI 1105, MPI 2105—used for fleet branding because it offers high-performing air egress, slideability, and repositionability properties. Most Avery Dennison digitally printable films also offer a long-term removable adhesive that allows the wrap or graphic to be cleanly removed from the vehicle.
Fellers offers several options of cast and calendered vehicle wraps. Many of these films range in price, durability, warranty, and other services that remain brand specific.
General Formulations GF AutoMark line of calendered and cast vinyl is designed for the vehicle wrap space, and with supporting materials like GF WindowMark perforated films for windows, GF MetroMark changeable films, and GF MotoMark for low surface energy recreational vehicles.
Mactac offers a new product called Gruv Slideable that it has spent time developing for the commercial vehicle graphic space. It is a 2-mil cast vinyl gloss white highly conformable and durable print media with gray block out adhesive that has a low initial tack for ease of installation. The vertically integrated liner has micro channels that are imparted into the adhesive for a bubble free installation, but these channels do not show through the face.
Color Change
Avery Dennison offers a captivating collection of hundreds of colors and visual effects designed to elevate vehicles’ appearance to new levels of color and personalization.
EVOLV offers a range of premium solid color change films with Italian manufacturing, advanced adhesive technology, unique color development, and excellent conformability. However, it is moving strongly toward color paint protection film (PPF) as the next evolution of this market. EVOLV already offers over 60 PPF colors in our catalog, combining stunning finishes with the durability and protection of paint protection film. “This shift allows customers to enjoy the aesthetics of a wrap and the long-term benefits of PPF in a single solution,” comments Mattia Casarotto, area manager, Evolv.
Fellers has hundreds of color combinations within the color change product line across multiple brands and at many different price points.
General Formulations offers print films for vehicle wraps, offering a more personalized approach for vehicle graphics and branding. GF also features some specialty films that are suitable for embellishment on vehicle wraps.
While Mactac does not have a standard line of color change wraps, Nate Goodman, product manager graphics, Mactac, says the company is happy to produce custom colors with the same adhesive and liner used for Gruv Slideable.
Reflective Media
Avery Dennison offers a complete line of films for fleet graphics and conspicuity tapes, designed for easy vehicle detection at dawn, dusk, and night. Its products are ideal for a variety of applications, including fleet vehicles, school buses, and emergency vehicles.
Fellers has several printed and solid color reflective wrap products across multiple brands and at many different price points.
Striping
The Avery Dennison color and protection film portfolio features a variety of soft, subtle hues and bold, bright colors suitable for striping projects.
Heiob finds that most shops use a cast color change film, like Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film, for vehicle striping. “These provide the best durability as well as the largest color palette for customization.”
FDC offers almost every sign vinyl we carry as a stripe, including its Lumina by FDC films featuring 2100 cast, 4200 calendered, and 2407 reflective. One unique service it offers is multi-striping, where it provides pre-spaced stripes on a shared liner to ease the application process and ensure consistent spacing between materials.
Fellers does offer products that can be ordered in narrow widths for this application. Products range in color, finish, and price.
General Formulations offers many options for cut vinyl materials that are used every day for pinstriping applications, as well as a carbon fiber film and multiple metallic options.
While Mactac does not sell small rolls of material on their own, Goodman says it does offer regular size colored cast and calendared vinyl rolls to master convertors who slit it down and sell it for striping.
